Location

The Northwood Chalet is perfectly located on the Nicklaus North Golf Course in Whistler, BC, Canada.  Unlike many chalets at Whistler, the Northwood Chalet is bright and sunny as it looks out over the first tee of the golf course, offering an expanse of light and virtually endless mountain views.  We are located just a 3-minute drive (30-minute walk along Fitsimmons Creek) to Whistler Village where you can find all the shopping, dining and services you could possibly imagine.  At the Northwood Chalet, you are close enough to the Village for when you want to be in the hustle and bustle, with the advantage of retreating home to the beauty and peacefulness of the Nicklaus North Golf Course and the serenity of Green Lake.
  
Whistler is a popular destination for a wide variety of both winter and summer sports.  In the spring, summer and fall, you are a 2-minute walk to the first tee of Nicklaus North where the golfing is truly world-class. In the summer, imagine looking out over the First Fairway of the Nicklaus North Golf Course and admiring the breath-taking views of Blackcomb Mountain.  You cannot get any closer to the best golf in all of BC.  In the warmer months, you can arrive at Whistler via float plane from Vancouver or Victoria; the airport is on Green Lake just 500 meters from the Northwood Chalet!  Talk about arriving in style!  On Green Lake, you can boat, water-ski, paddle-board, wake-board and swim.  If you love to bike or hike, we are a 2-minute walk to the biking and hiking trails. The mountains around Whistler and Blackcomb offer some of the best hiking trails in the world with turquoise glacier water lakes as your final destination.

In the winter, you can walk out the backdoor of the Northwood Chalet across the fairway and you are on the Valley Trail for cross-country skiing or snow-shoeing.  You can go for miles and miles on the well-kept Valley Trail.  If downhill skiing or snowboarding is your preference, the Northwood Chalet is just a 3-minute drive to the base of Blackcomb Mountain where there is plenty of parking for your day on the slopes.  

In any season, the Meadow Park Recreation Center is just a 1-minute drive or a 10-minute walk from our Chalet where you will find a skating rink, a swimming pool, water park and full work-out facilities with daily drop-in fitness classes.  it's a perfect place for children to play, take in a swim, or go skating for a change of pace.  

If you don't feel like cooking, you can walk to dinner at Table Nineteen, the fabulous Clubhouse Restaurant overlooking Nicklaus North Golfcourse.  This is a popular location for weddings and other special celebrations due to the incredible views, food, service and location.  In the warmer months, there is no better place to hang out at sunset than the patio at the Clubhouse;  it's renowned to be the best patio in Whistler.  See you there!  ​
